At Seabury, a child’s curiosity is the compass for their education. Our central location gives us the unique ability to follow their questions out into the world. We can transform a conversation about color into a visit to the Tacoma Art Museum, or a lesson on seasons into a nature walk at Wright Park. Learning becomes a hands-on journey of discovery.
My journey in Montessori education began as a teenager at Ratner Montessori School in Euclid Heights, OH, and continued with an internship at Ruffing Montessori, one of the most highly regarded schools in the country. I later earned my AMS certification through the Montessori Education Institute of the Northwest (MEIPN) and went on to teach at respected programs across the Pacific Northwest, including Woodinville and Sammamish Montessori. Driven by a passion for fostering independence and curiosity, I also founded and operated my own Montessori school, creating a learning environment that emphasized cognitive growth, accountability, and a lasting love of learning.
In 2018, my family relocated to Tacoma, where I joined Seabury School’s vibrant community of gifted and inquiry-based education. After teaching across multiple classrooms at the Browns Point Campus, I now lead on Court C at the Seabury Early Learning Center. I remain committed to guiding children as they explore, discover, and thrive—believing that the foundation for lifelong learning is built when students are given the freedom to grow independently.
